Your Doorway to Education & Athletics (IDEA) - is a specialized international student recruitment and placement organization servicing international students and American institutions of higher education since 1997.
IDEA’s mission is to help young people from all over the world realize their educational dreams and for inter-cultural exchange to the benefit of all.
IDEA strives to be the most effective link between students from around the world and U.S. institutions for the placement of qualified young people into the American educational system.
IDEA’s corporate headquarters are located in Florida and the organization currently counts on a network of offices throughout Latin America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
IDEA carefully selects, recruits, and prepares both traditional students and athletes for admissions into American universities.
Over 70 universities from 27 states are part of the Program every year.
Over 1,400 students have participated in our scholarship programs.
Participants from 25 different countries were represented at the 2005 Program.
IDEA maintains a 100% success rate in obtaining scholarships offerings for its participants. All IDEA programs have fees that are refunded in case the participant is not successful.
University Academic Scholarship Program -
- Introduction -
Focus on traditional students. Scholarships are awarded based upon each student’s potential and universities needs.
- The University Academic Scholarships Program is designed for international students of average academic level to receive scholarships to American universities that match their needs exclusively available to IDEA candidates.
- Scholarships are awarded based upon each student’s academic potential.
- The Program fee is subject to obtaining a minimum of 7 scholarship offers that apply to the participant career of interest:
A- Scholarship offers for minimum of two (2) establishments within a set range to be paid by the participant of USD $5,500 and USD $9,000 per academic year including housing, meals, and studies.
B- Scholarship offers for minimum of five (5) establishments with a value to be paid by the participant equal or less than 50% of the
Establishments cost per academic year including housing, Meals and studies.
- Participants can begin or continue (previous work may be transferred) with a university undergraduate career or English as a second language courses in the United States.
- Participating universities are located across the United States including California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas among others.
- The Program provides an excellent opportunity for traditional students because IDEA’s professional assistance increases the chances of accessing the prestigious American higher educational system through scholarships.
- This experience allows scholars to pursue an academic career at a higher education institution in the United States and obtain a degree that is widely recognized within national and international employment markets.
- The ACADEMIC PROGRAM also has a zero financial risk policy: if the scholarship offers are not obtained, a full refund is provided. IDEA operates under a no-risk policy for its participants.
- Being in one of the following categories:
- Currently attending the last year of high school
- High school graduate
- Currently attending university (can be transferred)
- University graduate (classes can be transferred)
- There are a limited number of participants
accepted per program and per country.
- English Proficiency is not a Requirement. Students can start with ESL classes prior to enrolling into an Undergraduate Program.
- Contact with IDEA/WORLD STUDY Representative (Interview).
- Fill out Program Admission Form (G.P.A., Degree, English Level – TOEFL-)
- Submit Program Admission Form to IDEA.
- IDEA will prepare an Academic Award Report and submit it to WS.
- Present Academic Award Report.
- After confirmation,
- Fill out Counseling Interview Form
- Obtain first down payment (USD 400)
- Sign the Contract
- Collect Required Documents (must be submitted to IDEA’s Admission Department).
- Within 7 days of receiving the complete student file, IDEA will inform the representative (who then informs the participant) about the “availability” of the scholarship offers.
- Final payment must be made (USD 1,200).
- Within 2 days of receiving final payment, IDEA will submit Scholarship Report.
- For the scholarship to be effective and begin the admission process, the participant has 20 days to decide and inform IDEA about the selected scholarship offer.
- Complete Program admissions application.
- IDEA counseling interview.
- Medical release letter.
- Curriculum vitae (resume).
- High School transcript (original or certified copy) translated into English.
- High School grade average (per year and cumulative) translated into English.
- Official or institutional TOEFL test.
- Present two letters of recommendation from High School or College.
- Personal essay including the following items:
Why do I feel I deserve a scholarship?
What are my objectives in the USA?
What are my plans after completing my education?
- If transferring college or university courses:
College transcript of courses taken and passed, translated into English.
- Once the amount of scholarship is established:
Present proof of financial means (bank statement of similar) to study in the USA for one academic year. This document is necessary for obtaining the F1 student’s VISA.
